Cafe Botanik in Heidelberg

Delicious and fresh food that will fill you up. For a kind of cafeteria, an unusually large and good selection of homemade food! The salads are great and the fries with sour cream are legendary. In the summer, coffee specialties such as cold brew are also offered - so there is not only the usual "coffee" broth, which is inedible for coffee connoisseurs. Sitting outside is really wonderful when the weather is right. You sit in the country and a bit away from the hustle and bustle. One could only wish for more space and more cash registers inside. Sometimes very long waiting times because botany is so popular.

I really miss the Botanik café. Please open it again :-)!

Delicious food and fair prices. Service is friendly and the selection is great. The food is freshly prepared. However, it could be more attention to cleanliness in the dining room.

Whether breakfast, snacks, bread rolls, beer, wine (& - Schorle), fruit juices, lunch, dinner or just a coffee ... Here you are right! Sometimes the snakes are very long at the counter, so it pays to come back later;)

The food is delicious and the prices are top! However, the opening hours of the kitchen are not correct, because they close the kitchen as soon as no orders come in the evening and that is not in my opinion! You should follow the posted opening times.

Was there on a regular basis. Now on and off. It's good to eat and sit a few hours and be in the thought. The food is ok and has a fastfood touch. To say that the prices for students and staff are good but quite salted for people who did not pay as the full price (20-50% surcharge). The food was good, but you have to get it from the front counter. We were there after 5pm because we heard that it should be full by 4pm. There was not everything (eg fresh juice). Generally a place for students rather than families / children .. The prices are fair and the portions good. I thought it was good there.

Place to meet with friends and colleagues of the Uni. With students card are very competitive prices, otherwise a bit expensive. It has to sit outside and inside. They put sports games on television and do varied activities. The Chocolate ice cream, the coffee and the cakes are very good.

This place has grown dear to my heart for almost 32 years. Just a nice student atmosphere.

I had tea with my family here and had to pay 1.10 euros to get hot water for my niece's porridge. This is really crazy, totally child-unfriendly! Since the café is right next to the zoo, where young children go very often, I can well imagine that they want to make money with it: /

When we asked for some hot water after we had bought four bionades to make the afternoon porridge for my seven-month-old granddaughter, we were charged an additional € 1.10. This has never happened to us in any other café or restaurant. It was a very strange experience for us that a gastronomic facility at Heidelberg University is so child-unfriendly.

Great cakes, friendly staff. Nice to sit outside, but inside it's very badly ventilated and the 'music' is often monotonous and too loud.

They also have good pizzas, good coffee and mexican sticks. They are also good. 5 Stars.

Great student cafe. Always lively and energetic. Has a functional Biergarten in the summer.

Good drinks and cheap food. Very, very nice staff. But from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. it is always too crowded. So it doesn't make sense for me to go there during the day. The food only tastes acceptable when it comes to fries, pizza or currywurst. By the way, the salads are good.

Great student prices, refreshing beers

Very tasty food at great prices for students. Pizza on offer every week. Also very friendly staff.

It is a nice place to have quick lunch or get together and drink a few beer!

Student café as it should be - cool atmosphere - healthy fast food - reasonable prices - in the evening interesting music selection - relaxing lively @ :-)

Really good student food corner... Pizza, pommel and sour cream... :)

Located at the botanical garden, it is very crowded especially at lunchtime - with good reason! The offer is versatile (from muffins to pizza), reasonably priced and delicious. But you have to plan some waiting time, if you come to the rush hour. There are no parking spaces in the immediate vicinity, but easy to reach by bike and on foot.

For students of the University of Heidelberg very convenient. Pizzas are not perfect, rather very good frozen pizzas. The salad and fries, however, are quite good.
